A train runs from the Interlaken to way to Grindelwald terminal, and the rural mountain scenery along the way is spectacular and varied.

It has an elevated walkway which is perched on the side of the mountain at over 2000m (6500 ft) height.

Let’s briefly learn about Grindelwald: Grindelwald was first named Grindelwalt in 1146. The name derives from the German words “grintil” and “walt” which mean barrier and forest.
