Cities That You Should Also Visit

10.SION The city of Sion is not very common, so many people may not have heard of it. It is the capital of the very touristy Canton of Valais.  As soon as you enter this city, you will understand how busy and crowded it is. Silence is far from this city. However, people here are seen smiling and happy. The city gives off a very Italian vibe, and there’s a touch of French as well. The environment here is also very beautiful. The city of Sion is very unique. During the warm months, it’s quite lively. Here, many people perform various kinds of dance and songs, sit in cafes, and eat and drink. Don’t forget to visit the hilltop castle in sion. They are considered the landmark of the old town and look very beautiful during day and night. If you have a reasonable budget, you can explore Sion. And not only Sion; I will now highlight the essence of other cities that I think are worth visiting in Switzerland. Many prefer villages, while others prefer cities. Those who don’t like villages at all can visit the cities mentioned in this article according to their budget, and those who like villages can read my top places articles. 9.BASEL We will now learn about a city in the northwest of Switzerland that is very cultural. The city of Basel has a touch of modernity and preserves its traditions.  I thought that the most beautiful parts of Basel were Barfüsserplatz or Münster Square, but then I figured out that Basel’s beauty is found in the many alleys. Thus, really take your time exploring this area. There are great shops to visit for tourism; I highly recommend eating something from here. Otherwise, they sell everything here. On the other side, you will see many beautiful houses near the river. My favorite point is Spalentor, Basel’s old doors and monuments. There is a beautifully painted city hall with red accents, which is great to see and follows their tradition. Basel is very modern and Switzerland’s main hub for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. There are many attractions here, including Münsterplatz, Barfüsserplatz, and Petersplatz. The most beautiful Christmas market in Switzerland is located in Basel. 8.LUGANO Lugano is a place where you get a vibe of both Switzerland and Italy. Lugano is located in southern Switzerland. It is the 19th largest city in Switzerland. The city is mainly famous for Lake Lugano. It can be said that it is one of the most visited places in Switzerland. You can enjoy the view of the lake after going to the top of the hill. Summer is the best time to visit and enjoy Lugano city and Lake Lugano. There is an opportunity to explore the lake by ferry or small boats. This is the train station in Lugano; you can see the touch of Italian architecture in it. In many places, the Italian tradition is subtly integrated. An interesting thing about Switzerland is that you can experience three types of culture: French, German, and Italian. In Lugano, you will find many stone-built houses. Unlike most places in Switzerland, where houses are often made of wood, in Lugano you will see many houses made of stone. That makes the difference. There is another famous place called the Olive Garden Trail, where you can find many olive trees and olives are cultivated. This is also one of their local traditions.  I think that is the main attraction of Lugano. One thing I suggest is that if you visit Lugano, you should definitely take a boat trip on Lake Lugano. I hope you will enjoy it! 7.Neuchâtel I am now presenting the city of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. It is known for its unique charm, beautiful architecture, and picturesque surroundings.  In the city center, many people walk to enjoy the surrounding views. Everyone continues to promenade. There is a suspension bridge here from which you can enjoy a great view of the lake. Its a great weather and lake with a very strong focus shine. From this place, you can see the mountains, cities, and lakes of Switzerland. Isn’t that interesting? That is the Jura, which starts here and extends into France. After seeing their architecture, you might think you are in France, but you are still in Switzerland. There is a luxurious hotel in Neuchâtel named the Beau-Rivage Hotel. The local architecture is heavily influenced by France. The city is full of wonderful streets and alleys, as well as amazing graffiti. The graffiti here can be considered another kind of masterpiece. In there, you can visit many castles, and I would suggest you do so. Here, you can climb to the top of any castle and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. There are many forts to visit here. Part of the cantonal administration is located inside the castle where the rest accissible as a museum. However that one can only visited on guide tours.  So that’s the main reason to visit Neuchâtel, and you can do it on a moderate budget.  6.burn Burn is the only one that was awarded with UNESCO world heritage status.  The old city is very unique with these many arcades, clock towers and fountains. Burns’ major points of interest are the Federal Square with the parliament called Bundeshaus and the Swiss National Bank. Then the Zytglogge Tower with the painting of Adam and Eve being exiled from paradise, the Berengraben, a pit with bears, the House of Einstein, the City Theatre, and the Minister. During summer, also consider going for a swim in the Aare River. It’s an amazing feeling and far better than swimming pools. I also recommend going for a swim in the Aare River if you come to Bern. Burn is also interesting when it comes about their culture. The local specialty is Rösti, which is one of the major original Swiss dishes and is available in different varieties. A very important cultural event to witness in the second half of

5. LAUTERBRUNNEN

Lauterbrunnen is one of the most beautiful villages in the world. Let’s start our journey with the bridge and fountain of Lauterbrunnen. How do you feel about the picture of the fountain above? Isn’t it fascinating? It’s even more beautiful when you see it face to face. Ice melt water from distant glaciers produces milk-white branching rivers. The velocity of the water seems to have increased due to the many springs coming down from the surrounding mountains. This river, interspersed with mountains and springs, adorns the enchanting rural nature of the Lauterbrunnen region. What could be better weather than the weather here? The sky is blue, and the mountains are shining.  The village of Lauterbrunnen lies in a valley of enchantment between three and five thousand-foot mountains. It is one of the most popular tourist areas in the Jungfrau district of Switzerland. This valley is associated with 72 mountain springs. The shape of the Swiss mountains in the afternoon sun is striking, with a charming play of light and shadow. You can see the frozen glaciers in different directions. Lauterbrunnen village’s other hilly area is more touristy. There are many cafes, restaurants, shops, and more affordable hotels within walking distance. The further you go, the more crowded the area will become.  Many people go paragliding here after a while. The small mountain road that leads up the mountain eventually takes you to the fountain of Lauterbrunnen. Lauterbrunnen has not one, but many fountains. Among them, the large fountain shown in my picture is the most famous. There is also a municipality on this side called Lauterbrunnen, which includes other famous and charming villages like Wengen, Mürren, and Grimmelwald. A few hundred years ago, poverty was the region’s cruel companion. However, the lives of people here have changed with the advent of tourism, along with various businesses, animal husbandry, agriculture, and road transport. Lauterbrunnen simply means ‘many fountains. There are many waterfalls coming down the steep mountain slopes around this region. The most popular of them is the waterfall known as Stalbeck Falls. During the walk here, you will see an interesting tunnel midway, then climb steep stairs and a water-soaked mountain path to reach the upper viewpoint.  Climbing here is a bit difficult as the roads are a bit back. If your shoes don’t fit well, getting up can be a problem. The majority of the population in the Lauterbrunnen region is Christian, but there are very limited numbers of Muslims and Buddhists. There is a cemetery here, and along the path, you can find light refreshments such as coffee, ice cream, and water for five or six euros. Shepherds walk here with their cows. The view is nice to see. If you see it, you can also enjoy it. Another beautiful thing is the layer of green grass on top of the houses here. They have integrated the houses with nature.  Another common thing in Switzerland is to travel from one place to another by train. This arrangement makes the journeys more pleasant and beautiful. Nature looks wonderful and feels wonderful. And here to go from the same place to another place you have to travel by almost sure train. Which hopefully won’t disappoint you. So Switzerland is somehow famous for train travel. So this is the essence of Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland. Here, I have highlighted what you should really enjoy. If there are more updates in the future, I will share them again.

There are many options for skiing in winter in Appenzell.  Appenzell’s central area attracts both tourists and locals. There are many alleys, restaurants, and clothing shops. The clothing stores here offer designs for men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing that follow Swiss tradition. Shops here offer a variety of souvenirs and homewares, which are a bit pricey. These are all handmade. Their belt shops offer traditional handmade belts for men, These are made from genuine leather from Swiss cows. Which I think are more fashionable than Gucci or Chanel. 1. GRINDELWALD

After hearing Switzerland, the first thing that comes to mind is Grindelwald. The mountains of Grindelwald are as high as the eye can see. Hiking and swimming in lakes bring a different kind of happiness. So I suggest Grindelwald as your first visit after arriving in Switzerland. The high mountains of this will give you a sense of tranquility. It’s located from sea level to an altitude of almost 3500 feet. The view of this magnificent valley is breathtaking. There are many hill villages in this hilly region, which makes this place most fascinating. Why Should You Visit Switzerland?

Why Should You Visit Switzerland?

Switzerland, one of the cleanest countries in the world, is an amazing island surrounded by fragrance and greenery. Many people consider this whole country as the most beautiful and holy place in the world. The country’s fame is at a unique level. “Why should you visit Switzerland?” is the most frequently asked question I have encountered before and after visiting the country.  When I searched for the answer to this question before traveling to the country, I was surprised to imagine that the beauty of the country is as beautiful as anyone’s dreams. Later, when I was traveling around the country, I honestly felt like I was in a dream the whole day. So for me the answer is that Switzerland is a place to feel, to lose yourself in a unique wilderness. Let me give you a detailed analysis of my answer and also share with you the facts about this country that changed my life goals. About Switzerland Switzerland is a small country in Western Europe.  The official name of the country is the Swiss Confederation. Geographical location of vision is very common. Germany, Austria, Italy and France surround this country from all sides. Which is why I think Switzerland is in the heart of Europe? Generally the country can be considered as a small mountainous country. However, along with the mountains, various rivers and lakes can be observed here. According to all geographical features the country can be divided into three regions. They are the Jura, the Swiss Plateau and the Alps. Bern is the capital of Switzerland. This city is mainly known as the government and administrative city. It is situated on the banks of the river Aaray with unique features.  Some of Switzerland’s other world-famous cities are Geneva and Zurich. Now if we observe in terms of size and population, we will see that the area of the country is about 41 thousand 285 square kilometres. More than 8.4 million people live in this small country. The currency of Switzerland is Swiss Franc. The economic system of the country is very well structured. Many of you may know that there is a world famous Swiss bank where various high profile individuals open bank accounts and keep their money. It is one of the safest banks in the world. The city of Switzerland is essentially a multilingual state and four major languages are present here – Romanian, German, Italian and French. However, some people also speak Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish. Apart from the natural beauty, the education rate of this country is also 100%.  I find their education system very unique. Due to which perhaps their hundred percent educated population has developed. I saw in one of their policies on education that education is compulsory for all between the ages of 5 and 16. Not a single person in the country is likely to be left out of this education. Due to which all the social and political activities in this small country are well managed. If we look at the religious statistics of the country, we can see that most of the people here practice Catholic religion, which is 45% of the total population. In addition, other religious communities including Christians, Orthodox, Muslims and Jews practice their respective religions independently. Now let’s talk about one of the most beautiful things in the country. Many of you may know that Switzerland is a peaceful country. No war has been fought in this country since 1815. The surprising fact that I found out was that there were no casualties during the First World War either. The country was slightly damaged by the Germans in World War II, but no counter-attacks were made. The country became a member of the United Nations in 1920 and joined the Council of Europe in 1963. Currently, international organizations such as the “Red Cross” and “World Trade Organization” have been established in this country. We all know that one of the means of entertainment in Switzerland is the tourism developed around their country. But they also play local sports like skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering etc. Other popular sports include football, ice hockey, tennis, etc. The Switzerland of football has gained a lot of recognition as a country with a lot of wealth. The headquarters of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the International Ice Hockey Federation are located in Zurich.  I have travelled to both these places. I will talk about them in detail in the next discussion. World Communication and Political Distribution  The first surprising fact that I was surprised to hear myself is that there is no regular army in this country. So the political situation of the country is very stable and balanced. One of the features of the government system in this country is that the president changes every year on January 1st. The system of government is run for a six-year term and there is a six-year Council of Ministers with one minister serving as the President for one year. In my opinion this system has made it possible to further modernize their governance. Rainy climate and weather follow a beautiful cycle and generally a calm mind prevails more in people. Which I realized talking to various local people while traveling the country. Now we discuss a little about the country’s international relations. Switzerland has excellent international relations with almost all countries. In 1999, Article 54 of the Swiss Constitution declared the protection of the independence and welfare of Switzerland as the main objective of Swiss foreign policy.  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country is always willing to cooperate with all countries successfully. Although a European country, it is not a member of the European Union and NATO. Facilitating visits to various ministries of the country, I learned that the country continues to make important contributions to the elimination of world needs and poverty, promoting respect for human rights and democracy. Besides, they are working under the banner of “Save Natural
